Mango Margarita...well not really.

So even though we are in the middle of winter and the temperatures have no intention of rising, I often find myself searching for a glimmer of summer or spring that can brighten up my day.
Below is my recipe for a strawberry mango smoothie that is both simple and delicious!


1 cup of frozen mango chunks
(you can get these in the frozen department of Trader Joes for pretty cheap)

1/2 cup of frozen strawberries

2 tablespoons of sugar
(more or less depending on how sweet you want it)

1/2 cup of water
(add more or less, depending how 'watery' you want it)

6 cubes of ice
(more or less, I usually eyeball it)

Blend fruit, sugar and water together for about 30 seconds or until the fruit has reached a smooth consistency. After this, go ahead and add your ice a few cubes at a time. Let everything blend for a minute so it reaches the correct consistency. Pour into a glass (or margarita glass in my case) & enjoy!
* If it is TOO watery, add more frozen fruit. If it is TOO thick, add more water.*
